Environmental Services Technician
Reports to: Department Manager
Part-Time: Schedule depends on operational needs
Pay Schedule: Weekly Pay
Non-Exempt: Compensation is $23. an hour

Position Summary
Essential Duties
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Clean and disinfect assigned areas to organizational standards.
+ Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation.
+ Collect and dispose of general and medical waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Ensure proper segregation of recyclable and hazardous materials.
+ Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment.
+ Report any shortages or needs for additional supplies to the supervisor.
+ Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and vacuum cleaners.
+ Report any malfunctioning equipment to the maintenance department.
+ Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
+ Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
+ Participate in regular safety and training sessions.
+ Interact professionally with staff and visitors.
+ Address and report any environmental concerns or complaints promptly.
+ Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and supplies used.
+ Complete and submit any required reports or checklists.
+ Additional Responsibilities
+ Employees may be required to perform duties outside their primary responsibilities or assigned department, as reasonably requested by management. These duties may occasionally occur outside of regular working hours, provided they align with applicable labor laws and are compensated fairly and appropriately, reflecting the value of your contribution to the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
+ A high school diploma or equivalent or equivalent previous experience in a custodial or environmental services role is preferred.
+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
+ Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
+ Good interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for professional interaction with staff and visitors.
+ Maintaining accurate records of cleaning activities and supplies used is crucial for ensuring transparency and accountability.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this position successfully.
+ Work is performed in a warehouse or production facility environment.
+ May be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, and dust.
+ Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
+ Frequent standing, walking, crouching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and using repetitive motions of hands or wrists; finger, grasp, handle, or feel; reach with arms and hands for extended periods.
+ Exposure to cleaning chemicals and infectious materials.
+ Work may involve evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
