JOB SUMMARY
This position assists in operating the store room and maintaining the machine parts inventory. Duties also include assisting in evaluating overall progress of the department and make appropriate suggestions. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any item at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Inventory Control
- Inventory verification of machine parts in Store Room
- New stock entering into CMMS - Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Cycle counting and adjustments to inventory
Retrieval of Parts
- Releasing parts from closed parts room and pole bar to authorized personnel for project work
- Documenting machine parts usage
Project Work
- Maintain minimums in selected categories
- Work order completion
- Work order parts entry
Stocking
- Stocking shelves with incoming parts
- Entering receipts into inventory
- Verifying machine parts location
Housekeeping
- Cleaning of Store Room & Pole Barn
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
- Classes / certifications valuable but not required
- Mechanical Aptitude required
- 1 year minimum industrial mechanics or parts room experience desirable
- Computer ability (MS Office)
