Requirements / Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE OF:

- proper cleaning methods, materials, tools, and equipment associated with custodial work;

- routine groundskeeping methods and practices;

- the safe use and operation of equipment and chemicals used in custodial and groundskeeping work;

- proper care and maintenance of custodial and groundskeeping equipment and tools.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

- Regularly performs heavy physical labor requiring ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move heavy objects or materials.

- Work both inside and outside in a variety of temperatures and weather conditions.

- May be required to lift, carry, and move objects up to 100 lbs. with assistance and/or carry any object weighing up to 25 lbs.

** All applicants MUST pass the District's Custodial exam. Date and location listed above. If you do not come on the assigned date, you will not be eligible to continue in the hiring process.

If you have passed the Custodial exam within the past two years, you will need to contact Personnel to verify that you will not need to retest again or you may be disqualified from this posting.

Must pass the appropriate physical strength evaluation through SIA if hired. Those newly hired must provide current TB test results.
