Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Junior Sous Chef to support our award-winning culinary team. This is a hands-on role ideal for a rising chef who values fine dining, creativity, and the peaceful pace of rural living. Youll work alongside our Executive Chef and Sous Chef to craft beautifully prepared dishes and support smooth kitchen operations.
What Youll Do:
Assist in daily kitchen prep and execution of high-quality dishes
Lead and supervise line cooks during service
Ensure all stations meet cleanliness, organization, and prep standards
Contribute to menu development, daily specials, and seasonal changes
Support inventory, ordering, and food cost management
Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times
Step in for the Sous Chef as needed
What Were Looking For:
At least 2 years of professional kitchen experience
Strong culinary fundamentals and a commitment to quality
Ability to thrive in a small, collaborative team environment
Leadership potential with a calm, solutions-oriented mindset
Interest in local sourcing and working with seasonal ingredients
Willingness to relocate or commute to the countryside of White Post, VA
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
