Line Cook wanted for our full service gastro-pub and catering business in a high end cocktail and dining environment. Must have a strong work ethic and flexible availability, with 2 years of experience. The individual we are looking for is experienced in prep work, garde manger, plating, broiler/grill station, and saute station. We are looking for an individual driven to expand their culinary knowledge and work in an environment that rewards self starters and creativity.

About Reclaimed Bar and Restaurant is a full service Gastro-Pub establishment located in the North Center neighborhood of Chicago. The concentration of our business is craft cocktails, with a full gastro menu serving locally sourced products, and a small live music venue. We are currently looking for talented individuals to add to our team. Big Hatt is a specialty catering and event company. Our focus is live cooking events with customized menus for each client. We utilize a 20 ft. portable smoker to do whole hog cooks, BBQ events, tailgates, and outdoor parties. We also specialize in live cooking events that focus on the skills and creativity of our culinary team.

Line Cook Qualifications:

  • 3 year(s) of experience in a culinary operations
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Culinary or College degree a plus
  • Serv-Safe Certification
  • Knowledge of high end spirits, cocktails, and food
  • Skills for butchering, charcuterie, smoking meats,

Required Qualifications:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Able to work weekends, special events and holidays as needed
  • Possess an outgoing and energetic personality
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to multitask, walk and stand for hours at a time, and lift 30+lbs
  • Willingness to help others

Job Type: Full Time - Will consider Part Time

Compensation: $17-$23 an hour based upon experience
