Job DetailsMama Wong is an authentic Chinese restaurant serving regional Chinese cuisine and Sichuan specialties. We are seeking FOH Staff (part-time and full-time) to join our team to fill host and server positions! You will be responsible for providing guests with a memorable dining experience from start to finish. We are invested in your learning and growth, and this role has the opportunity for growth into management.
The ideal candidate is a positive and motivated team player with strong communication skills who can handle multiple tasks in a friendly manner with grace and composure. Weekend availability is required. Bilingual in English and Mandarin is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Curate a genuine and warm guest-friendly experience at all touchpoints: from the moment they call or walk in to the moment they exit
- Maintain organization at the host stand from reservations, ordering platforms, and managing the phone
- Demonstrate expertise of all restaurant and company information, including, but not limited to, hours of operations, directions, and awareness of neighborhood
- Demonstrate expertise of all menu items with sound knowledge of all ingredients and preparations
- Consistently follow steps of service with efficiency and grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service
- Anticipates guest needs, ensuring constant communication with colleagues, management, and the kitchen at all times during service.
- Maintains the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service.
- Demonstrates an eagerness to continue to learn and grow.

Compensation: Hourly ($15.00 - $18.00)
