Job Summary As a Room Attendant, you are responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and surrounding areas according to hotel procedures and quality standards. From fresh linens to sparkling bathrooms, your work ensures that each guest enjoys a clean, safe, and comfortable stay.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clean guest rooms daily, including making beds, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
Restock guest room supplies such as towels, toiletries, soap, toilet paper, and other amenities.
Change bed linens and replenish used items in each room.
Complete assigned housekeeping checklists thoroughly and accurately.
Organize and restock housekeeping cart and linen closet at the start and end of each shift.
Observe proper knocking and room entry procedures before entering guest rooms.
Report any room damage, maintenance issues, or missing items to the supervisor.
Secure guest room doors upon exiting rooms and ensure the hallways and service areas are kept clean and orderly.
Turn in lost and found items and guest room keys immediately to management.
Greet guests with a friendly and professional attitude when encountered.
Adhere to all hotel safety, sanitation, and security policies.
Follow all company policies and procedures, and utilize protective equipment as required.
Assist other housekeeping team members as needed to ensure efficient operation.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic English communication skills required (verbal and written).
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus but not required.
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting.
Regularly lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to perform repetitive physical tasks quickly and efficiently.
Ability to move arms, fingers, and hands easily for extended periods to complete cleaning duties.
Visually inspect rooms and written checklists for completeness and quality standards.
