Cook

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The cook performs a variety of tasks in preparing, transporting, and serving food to patients, staff, and visitors. Follows established recipes to prepare menu items. Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner. Follows guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control. Adheres to food safety standards at all times and assists with cleaning. Also fills in as dietary aide and baker as needed.

HOURS:

Full-time, 80 hours per pay period. Hours primarily 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with at least one 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM shift in a two-week period. Every other weekend & holiday rotation as scheduled.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Previous experiences in food service preferred. Will need to attend a Servsafe class if not done so previously or if certificate has expired. This would be arranged by the hospital.
