About the Role
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to be a part of the facilities team based in Concord. The Facility Maintenance Technician role is responsible for operating, maintaining, repairing, inspecting, troubleshooting, testing, and installation support of facilities systems equipment (includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, building electrical, compressed air, pneumatics, building and grounds, fire facility monitoring, fire response systems, lighting, plumbing, water, docks, roll-up doors, monitoring building systems and Building Automation System).

This position directly reports to the I&E Maintenance Supervisor and does not supervise others .

Key Accountabilities
- Operating, maintaining, inspecting, testing, and repairing of Facilities related maintenance, including compressors, dryers, chillers, air handlers, HVAC and condensation systems, building and grounds, fire facility monitoring, fire response systems, lighting, plumbing, water, air, docks, roll-up doors, Building Automation System.
- Responsible for all Facilities related daily checks including mechanical and electrical room, air compressors, dryers, chillers, fire facility monitoring and Building Automation System.
- Responsible for corrective equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance on Facilities Equipment.
- Organize and lead contract labor as required.
- Basic understanding of Cleanroom HEPA filtration systems, cleanroom requirements and protocol.
- Basic understanding of complete HVAC system monitoring best practices of optimum manufacturing run conditions.
- Utilizes technical publications, diagrams, etc., to accomplish maintenance, repair and the ordering of material and equipment. Identify and source parts needed for repairs.
- Assists in accomplishing required services for (HVAC) systems that utilize Freon (CFC-HCFC)
- Operate PIV equipment (forklifts, man lifts, etc.)
- Responsible for office repairs including painting, plumbing, lighting, walkways, etc.
- Repair and/or replace electrical components
- Maintain screw type chillers and water-cooled air handlers
- Maintains operations and maintenance records
- Work collaboratively with others; lead and participate on cross-functional teams
- Follow all Celgard safety guidelines and procedures, plan safety into projects and tasks
- Must keep all Celgard information CONFIDENTIAL.
Qualifications
Education Background:
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent training required
- Special courses in HVAC, electrical, pneumatic, facility monitoring/control and power plant systems are preferred.
Knowledge & Experience :
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment maintaining and repairing facilities equipment required
- Basic ability to troubleshoot a wide range of AC/DC electrical systems required
- Basic ability to repair and/or replace electrical components that make up HVAC systems required.
- Must be able to work at heights up to 30 feet, lift and carry up to 30 lbs., climb ladders, bend, and twist in order to reach remote equipment
Key Attributes:
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Flexibility to carry a cell phone for coverage and site wide communication. Also, willing to work a 2nd shift schedule when required.
- Proficiency with computers and computer applications (MS Office, Word, Excel)
- Basic ability to use special tools and equipment in order to install and maintain HVAC systems (tools include but are not limited to hammers, wrenches, electric drills, pipe cutters, metal cutters, benders, thermometers, pressure gauges, manometers, acetylene torches, and volt meters, etc.)
- PIV equipment license (forklifts, man lifts, etc.)
- Have the ability to work on a high performing team, contributing to an environment where open and honest communication is the norm.
- Ability to build effective workplace relationships, motivating co-workers, and supporting co-worker development.
- Must be able to deal with conflict productively, bringing forth issues that need to be discussed and work to forge a mutually beneficial outcome.

Working Environment
This position is in a manufacturing plant setting that would require working in a production environment around chemicals. Work will require standing and walking for up to 80% of the time. Lighting and temperature are adequate. You may be required to lift up to 30 pounds and/or force necessary to push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
