Full-Time Linen Distribution Technician (3rd Shift 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Rotating Weekends)
Location: Northside Atlanta Hospital NOVO Health Services

Must be available to train on 1st shift (7:00 AM 3:30 PM) for 23 weeks

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Full-Time, 3rd Shift Linen Distribution Technician to join our team at the Northside Atlanta Hospital location. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, solution-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Schedule:

  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM 7:30 AM

  • Rotating weekends required

  • Must be available to train on 1st shift (7:00 AM 3:30 PM) for 23 weeks

Essential Functions:
  • Deliver clean linen in covered carts to designated hospital departments

  • Collect soiled linen and transport to designated pickup areas

  • Verify and document linen quantities delivered

  • Perform regular linen inventory checks

  • Respond to client inquiries and concerns with professionalism

  • Maintain effective communication with supervisor regarding quality and service issues

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service standards

  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized

  • Follow all institutional procedures, safety rules, and Joint Commission standards

  • Operate equipment as needed and complete related duties

  • Perform clerical tasks (e.g., basic computer use, phone communication)

  • Support other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required

  • 12 years of relevant experience (healthcare, manufacturing, or similar)

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills

  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with leadership potential

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment

  • Capable of standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and push/pull carts up to 250 lbs

  • Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays

  • Willingness to receive and provide constructive feedback

  • Basic computer skills with a willingness to learn new applications

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, push/pull rolling carts up to and exceeding 250 lbs

  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach overhead, and twist throughout the shift

  • Meet all physical demands for the full shift duration
