ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintains constant awareness of activities of all games in assigned locations to observe and act appropriately in the event of any suspicious or irregular activity.
Controls and directs games in progress by monitoring and helping and dealer correction.
Maintains awareness of each games limits, guest activity, and dealer performance.
Assures Title 31 regulations are being adhered to and the proper paperwork is completed.
Interacts with all guests and team members as needed.
Assumes overall responsibility for assigned poker tables.
Oversees and ensures high standards of guest service on each game and works closely with the Casino Operation Managers, Casino Hosts, and other casino team members to identify players needs.
Assists in the hiring process by conducting interviews, training classes, and auditions.
Provides and monitors on-the-job training for Dealers to ensure staff receives adequate guidance, resources, and information.
Responsible for completing and issuing Poker Dealer evaluations.
Perform buy ins and fills for poker tables and guests as needed with available bank.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Thorough knowledge of all poker games and operations.
Two years of experience as a poker dealer in a casino environment.
One year of supervisory experience in poker room operations.
Must be able to acquire a VA Lottery Gaming License.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the hotel
Must be able to lift to 25 pounds
Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at the assigned desk area.
Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10-key adding machine, PCs, fax machine, and photocopier.
Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
