Maintenance Mechanic - Injection Molding

Job Title: Injection Molding Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Location: Buffalo Grove, IL

Shift: 2nd Shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am, Tuesday-Saturday)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Manager, you will maintain and repair injection molding machines to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Experience Required:

• 7+ years as an Automation Technician looking to transition into Injection Molding (no prior injection molding experience required), OR
• 1-2 years of direct Injection Molding Maintenance experience.

Compensation:

Pay range from $30 to $38 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot injection molding machines to identify malfunctions and isolate failure mechanisms.
• Repair equipment failures in the most cost-effective manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and re-qualifications at scheduled intervals.
• Assist process technicians and engineers with installation and removal of process equipment.
• Record equipment logs, including times and problems.
• Inspect, disassemble, align, repair, replace, and balance machine components and circuitry.
• Support engineers with test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans to maintain equipment accuracy.
