Title: Groundskeeper III
Hourly - Non-Exempt
Broad Function: As a Groundskeeper at our well-maintained 18-hole golf course, you will perform a diverse range of turf care and landscaping activities. You will operate a variety of specialized mowers and turf management equipment to ensure the course remains in top playing condition, providing members and guests with exceptional golf experiences.
Source of Supervision: Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate a variety of turf management equipment, including:
- Walk-behind greens mowers, triplex mowers, fairway and rough mowers, rotary mowers
- Utility vehicles and golf carts for transporting materials and staff
- Greens rollers for surface conditioning
- String trimmers, edgers, backpack and handheld blowers for detailed trimming and debris removal
- Bunker rakes (motorized and manual)
- Aerators, top dressers, and soil moisture meters for turf health and maintenance
- Chainsaws, pruners, sod cutters, and hole cutters for landscaping and course setup
Perform daily golf course maintenance tasks:
- Change cups and set new pin locations using hole cutters
- Rake, edge, and repair bunkers; maintain sand quality
- Hand water greens, tees, and other high-priority turf areas
- Maintain roughs, fairways, and hazards through mowing, trimming, and debris removal
- Trim trees and shrubs as needed; prepare soil and plant ornamentals
- Support divot repair, drainage work, and special projects as assigned
Equipment Care and Safety:
- Clean and maintain equipment, ensuring all machinery is operated safely and kept in good mechanical condition
- Promptly report any equipment issues to the supervisor
- Keep work areas organized and follow all safety protocols

- Position Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Available to work weekends and flexible hours as needed
- Valid Driver's License required
- Ability to safely operate a wide range of turf maintenance equipment
- Physical ability to stoop, bend, and lift to 80 pounds repeatedly if needed
- Attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn new equipment and techniques
- Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or golf course experience is a preferred, but not required
