Job Description:

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist housekeeping management in supervising daily activities of housekeeping, lobby, house person and any projects assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/PRE-REQUISITES:

Have a good knowledge of cleanliness and expectations to Marriott standards and procedures. Minimum two years of experience in Housekeeping, able to motivate and supervise associates in a positive and supportive environment. Dependable, flexible, good communication and organization skills. Multitasking.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Following all policies and procedures as set forth by Renaissance Newport Beach Hotel.
  • Ensure proper key controls are in effect.
  • Ensure that room inspections are conducted as required.
  • Ensure that all guest and public areas inspections are conducted as required.
  • Ensure all reports and assignments are prepared accurately and distributed as required.
  • Log any lost and found, carpet and general clean program and any other project pertaining to housekeeping.
  • Keep management informed of shortage in inventories such as linen, guest supplies and cleaning supplies.
  • Treating fellow employees and hotel guest in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Ensure public areas, guestrooms, storage and office areas are all cleaned and organized to standards.
  • Reporting any defects in the hotel and/or defective or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Complete all guest calls & emails. Handling guest and hotel property in a safe and honest manner.
  • Maintain effective communication with all departments of the hotel.
  • Put equipment and supplies away in proper storage after use.
  • Promoting and encouraging a "teamwork" atmosphere at all times, and giving employees help whenever possible.
  • Flexible work schedule to include: am, pm, weekends and holidays.

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $24.00/Hr. - $25.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
