About the Role

Seaport Entertainment is looking for a Culinary Porter to be based in The Seaport. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Culinary Porter will ensure the efficient operation of the culinary program through fulfilling orders received to the commissary, maintaining accurate records of fulfillment requests, and tracking and providing transfers. The Culinary Porter follows up and keeps the Purchasing Manager aware of activities and discrepancies.

What You Will Do

Checks product ensuring that it meets quality standards.

Continuously builds knowledge of full product catalog

Prepares shipments and transfers of product for culinary outlets

Follows proper reporting procedures for product deliveries and transfers.

Maintains clean storage areas and deep cleans areas when needed.

Supports culinary team in day-to-day operations

Records and reports shortages and discrepancies.

Ensures friendly, efficient, and professional attitude

Ensure that company policies and procedures, safety and other regulations or requirements are implemented and followed.

Must be able to maintain a schedule availability flexible to the business demands.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Ability to manage expectations, processes, and multiple projects simultaneously.

Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards

Ability to grasp, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads

Must occasionally lift, and/or move up to 100/150 pounds with help and/or assistance.

Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.

Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the store. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.

Climbing steps regularly.

Compensation: $18 - 20 per hour
