un Banquet Server Needed for Private Event (Marina del Rey) compensation: approx. $20/hour, 5 hour minimum guaranteed. We're needing an experienced banquet/restaurant server for our private event to celebrate the adoption of our new baby girl. You should have several years experience as a waiter, banquet server or bartender (other hospitality experience might also apply). This is a small, private party for our close friends, some of whom will bring their own kids (ages 4-12 roughly). We are needing your services from 12-5pm this Sunday, July 13. The position is effectively a "utility player" one, i.e. you'll need to be flexible and comfortable with all typical tasks associated with putting on a successful event/party (ex. basic set up and take down, ensuring serving tables are kept stocked and clean, drinks are refilled, empty plates and trash are pickedup, guests are made comfortable, etc.) Only heavy snacks and beer/wine will be served. You should be proactive, alert and observant, sociable, never on your phone, neat in appearance (and wear typical clean banquet attire-long sleeve, collared white shirt, black slacks, black shoes).
