POSITION SUMMARY:
Bagatelle is an experience. It's a place to enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner and feel like you were invited into the home and table of an epicurean bon vivant from the French Riviera. It's a place to celebrate the South of Frances festive spirit, generous cuisine and friendly atmosphere. The Runner with Bagatelle is responsible for cleaning and setting up tables and perform other food service related duties as needed. This role will also ensure empty tables are ready to receive new guests.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
Must be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, at all times
Adhere to all Bagatelle policies and safety rules
Assist guests with their orders by explaining menu and be open to making recommendations.
Deliver food orders to guests in a timely manner.
Accurately explain food orders to chefs, with specific attention to allergies and special requests.
Help server staff set up tables by placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils, decorations, and napkins.
Uphold our food health safety and sanitation principles.
Occasionally check on guests to handle any impromptu requests or issues.
Remove dirty dishes from the table.
Inform management of guests feedback.
Assist with expediting the delivery of all cuisine in a courteous and efficient manner and according to restaurant specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of restaurant, service areas and equipment
Have knowledge and understanding of the menu and are able to answer questions in regards to ingredients and allergens
Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy, prioritize and organize
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all policies and standards of service
RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS/PRIMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read, write and speak in English is needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job
At minimum 1 year experience at a fine dining establishment
Excellent communication and people skills.
Ability to stay professional in a stressful work environment.
Outstanding multitasking skills.
Working knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations
Excellent time management
An approachable attitude
Highly organized and able to work fast
High school diploma or equivalent is required

While performing the duties of this job, the individual in this role is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch and twist
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
Working conditions can at times involve hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment and the operation of office equipment
