Facilities Groundskeeper

Job Responsibilities:

• Cut and maintain lawns and grass of the facility and all associated properties, using power mowers or edgers
• Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls
• Rake leaves and care for plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs
• Provide grounds maintenance in all seasons, including landscaping
• Responsible for snow and dirt removal, including working additional hours to support facility operations during inclement weather
• Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, or other grounds features
• Ensure that the facility grounds and environment of the facility are clean, attractive, orderly, and safe
• Operate vehicles and power equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, golf carts, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on gardening and grounds equipment, including minor repairs, greasing the equipment, checking fluids, looking for leaks, and notifying management if repairs are needed
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
• Assist with general cleaning and trash removal as needed
• Assist with company event set up and clean up as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience performing routine maintenance and grounds/landscaping experience preferred
• Ability to perform routine maintenance duties utilizing basic hand/powered tools and powered equipment
• Ability to determine and select the appropriate tools and equipment needed to complete a task
• Previous experience operating equipment and vehicles with a strong safety-oriented focus
• Demonstrate positive communication and teamwork skills
• Manage time to effectively meet company priorities and meet internal customer needs
• Ability to interact and work with outside vendors as needed
• Ability to:
• Sit, stand, and/or kneel for extended periods of time
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortably work at elevated heights of at least 40 feet for extended periods of time
• Operate and work off of powered lifts
