Full-Time (1.0 FTE), 8-Hour Day, 12 Month Position. SECOND SHIFT: 3:00 11:00 p.m. Additional Night Differential Pay of 3%
The following work activities are listed as examples only and in no event shall an employee be limited to only those examples listed here:
+ Dust, vacuum, sweep
+ Wash windows, walls, woodwork, water closets, tubs and bowls
+ Gather and dispose of refuse
+ Uses heavy mechanical equipment to strip, polish and wax floors
+ May open and secure buildings
+ May varnish, shellac and polish furniture and brass
+ May tend the furnace
+ May be required to perform minor maintenance tasks such as unskilled painting or carpentry
+ May be required to replace lights, hang window shades and Venetian blinds
+ Carry out all other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Non-Competitive, Labor class Civil Service position
+ Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment
+ Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions
+ Ability to read and write
+ Willingness to perform janitorial tasks
+ Good communications skills, thoroughness, cleanliness and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position
+ Contributing member of a team
SALARY: Per Support Staff Association Contract, plus comprehensive benefit package.
