POSITION: Maintenance Mechanic II

SALARY: $27.95 Per Hour/ As Per CSEA Contract

DEPARTMENT: Buildings & Grounds

HOURS: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

START DATE: 2025 - 2026 School Year

Job Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Valid New York State Driver's License

New York State Education Department Fingerprint Clearance

Spanish Speaking Preferred But Not Required

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EITHER:

Completion of two (2) years of vocational education courses in a vocational school program or in an apprentice or training program in one of the craft areas; or

Two (2) years of experience in minor maintenance or repair work; or

One (1) year of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic I

Good knowledge of the standard electrical tools, materials, methods and practices

Ability to read blueprints, sketches, assembly diagrams or operating instructions
