Position: Bartender

Department: Sayulita Bar

Supervisor(s): Store Director (and Director of Hot Foods)

Status: Hourly, Nonexempt, Full Time or Part Time

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet all customers in a friendly manner
  • Assist customers with food and drink purchases
  • Thank customers for their patronage
  • Mix and serve alcoholic beverages based on customer requests.
  • Maintain a clean work area including sweep and debris within Bar
  • Provide insight on Bar trends and identify new processes or food/drink creations
  • Ensure we comply with all local, state and federal laws, policies and procedures (including ID Age verification)
  • Assist and participate with Company marketing promotional events and programs as needed

Essential Job Duties:

  • Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons
  • Assessing bar patrons needs and preferences to make recommendations
  • Provide an excellent dining/drinking experience for all patrons
  • Restock and replenish bar area supplies
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations and health department codes
  • Climb ladders to retrieve or place product on top shelves/coolers
  • Balancing cash receipts to record sales
  • Basic computer program knowledge
  • All other job duties assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to test alcoholic drinks for quality and flavor
  • Standing for long periods of time to operate the bar and registers as needed
  • Mixing drinks and preparing food
  • Lift and carry 20+ lbs.
  • Bus tables and ensure dining area is clear and cleaned consistently
  • Maintaining a safe environment, promptly cleaning up any spills or any other unsafe conditions.

Non-essential Job Duties:

  • Travel between Sayulita Bars for support if necessary
