EVS Housekeeping**
**Job Description**
This position involves performing all routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning tasks promptly. Duties include high and low dusting, wall, ceiling, vent, lighting cleaning, restroom facilities cleaning, and comprehensive floor care. The role also requires removing and transporting trash and medical infectious waste, as well as moving furniture and other equipment. You will be responsible for cleaning various areas such as the emergency room, operating rooms, offices, public bathrooms, clinics, nurses' stations, and exam rooms.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning tasks promptly.
+ Conduct high/low dusting and cleaning of walls, ceilings, vents, and lighting.
+ Clean restroom facilities and floors thoroughly.
+ Remove and transport trash and medical infectious waste.
+ Move furniture and other equipment as needed.
+ Clean designated areas including emergency rooms, operating rooms, offices, public bathrooms, clinics, nurses' stations, and exam rooms.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
+ Capability to stand for 8 hours.
+ Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, hearing, and comprehending English.
+ Stable work history with jobs held for at least 6 months.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Preferred six months of cleaning/housekeeping experience.
+ Experience in roles such as housekeeper, janitor, environmental services, caregiver, or custodian.

**Work Environment**
Work at Kenosha Medical Center and St. Catherine's in Kenosha, WI, alongside patients and hospital staff. The role involves frequent exposure to medical infectious waste and frequent pushing, pulling, and transporting of heavy objects, equipment, and furniture. Continuous physical position changes are required to accommodate the cleaning of environmental surfaces. Occasionally, you will need to climb stepladders to clean light fixtures and vents, and wash windows and cubicle drapes. The position requires frequent kneeling and stooping to clean areas and items such as bathtubs, shower stalls, plumbing, stairs, baseboards, furniture legs, furniture wheels, wringing out wet mops, and trash removal from containers. Constant repetitive hand and arm motions are necessary for damp wiping surfaces, running buffers and scrubbers, vacuuming, and mopping. There may be occasional exposure to exposed patient body parts.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $17.00/hr.
