Location: Newark, NJ

Duration: 12 month contract

Shift - Flexible 7and half hours from 6am to 10pm (M - F)

Pay - 26.43/HR

Responsibilities for this position include:

Prepares food according to standardized recipes to produce quality products for end-users within time deadlines.

Maintains proper food handling and storage toply with Federal, State and Local Health Regulations and all standards as set forth by The Joint Commission.

Completes all Mise en place to ensure an efficient meal production process. Definition of Mise in Place: Put in Place. The preparation and assembly of ingredients, pans, utensils and plates or serving pieces needed for a particular dish or service period.

Maintains work area in ananized, clean and sanitary manner.

Properly uses knives, kitchen utensils and equipment in a safe manner.

Understands and ads to University Hospital'spliance standards as they appear in University Hospital's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and University Hospital regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

2 years of work experience in healthcare

Work experience as a grill cook
