**Position Profile**

We are seeking a food service cook who will provide nutritious and enticing meals for our assisted living residents, adult day club members and hospice patients.
**Responsibilities**
+ Basic line cooking experience within a high quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company.
+ Requires knowledge of common food safety practices and materials used in food service procedures.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and community guests.
+ Assisting with training and development of staff/volunteers
+ Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure the department is kept clean and meets safety regulations.
+ Ability to follow a budget
+ Adheres to scope of practice/HOV standards and facilitates continuously improved processes/services.
+ Maintains and enhances professional skills.
+ Adheres to high standards of personal and professional conduct.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent experience.
+ Minimum of 3 years of hands- on experience in food preparation.
+ Knowledge of food preparation.
+ ServeSafe Certification or within 90 days of hire
+ Basic knowledge of therapeutic dietary needs.
