This is a Part Time position working no more than 125 hours per month. If you would like to work for the season only, please apply to our Seasonal Groundskeeper position. This position is essential to Salt Lake Community College to maintain the grounds to ensure they are clean, safe, and well kept.

Must be willing to work hard, follow supervisor instructions, follow safety rules and work well with others.

Previous experience will be considered when determining starting pay.

Able to do moderate lifting up to 50 lbs. Physical activity involves bending, stooping, climbing etc.
Ability to follow instructions and perform manual labor i.e., weed pulling, pruning, turf mowing tasks, operate equipment safely, trash pickup, repair irrigation systems (heads, valves, pipe).
Must take required SLCC trainings and safety trainings offered at SLCC.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.

Previous experience helpful but not necessary if willing to be trained in maintenance procedures.
