Job Duties:

Responsible for daily and weekly side work and cleaning

Perform portion control and minimize waste

Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner

Restocking ingredients at workstation

Maintain clean workstation area including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves

Comply with sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards

Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products

Perform additional tasks as assigned by kitchen supervisor, chef or restaurant manager

Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area

Requirements and skills:

Experience working in a high-volume restaurant

Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations

Excellent organization skills

Ability to remain calm in a fast pace environment

Ability to read and follow cooking directions

Must be able to work in a team environment

Must be organized and self- motivated

Understanding of cooking methods, and procedures and knife skills

Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays

Food Handlers certified for our state
