Makes and serves coffee/espresso drinks Provide superior customer service while maintaining a clean and attractive outlet for guests Maintain the highest level of standards for all product preparation Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis Interacts with customers and other employees in a friendly, courteous manner Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area The Barista is responsible for assisting customers and providing a great customer service The Barista must be a quick learner with the ability to remember ingredients, prepare quality beverages, and fill customer orders Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a quality customer environment during each shift Maintains regular and punctual attendance This position also requires the ability to keep and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the operation running smoothly. Anticipate customer and cafe needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues. Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer-comes-first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discover and respond to customer needs. Follow standard coffee shop operational policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products. Main point of contact for scheduling Cafe room setup/breakdown Provide daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of coffee maker, espresso machine and soda machine. Order inventory and stock all product for coffee and soda machines, in addition to all Galley coffee makers. Act as tour guide for new Associates, providing relevant building information on their first day. Act with the integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture, values and mission of IMA. Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter. Working as part of a fun, high-energy team. Required Experience and Skills: include but are not limited to: One to two years of similar or related experience operating an espresso machine Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed Capable of: Lifting up to 40 pounds Standing, stooping walking, reaching and turning for several minutes at a time Ability to use a step ladder Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to build relationships Experience with MS Office products preferred, but not required Occasional travel to the grocery store may be required High School Diploma required Special Considerations: This role is Monday-Friday in the office.
