Traveling Housekeeper

Private NYC family seeks an experienced, full-time traveling housekeeper (New York based) to join their positive and collaborative team. This position consists of roughly 10 hours per day, 5 days per week, with overtime. The schedule rotates with other team members. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, who takes initiative and has a deep passion for organization and cleanliness. The housekeeper must have a keen eye for detail, be reliable, service oriented, with a hospitality mindset. Must be willing to travel! Amazing benefits! Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Consistently maintain the highest level of standards of service and overall efficiency of the residence. Thoroughly clean the residences top to bottom and maintain/take note of outdoor appearance. Cleaning included but not limited to sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets and rugs, cleaning all surfaces including sinks, toilets, stoves and ovens, removing spider webs Inspect cleanliness of residences from top to bottom, basement to the roof; inspecting all furniture, carpets, upholstery, floors, blinds, windows, curtains, etc. and report any damage or concerns/issues Change beds, bathroom linens, and towels daily/weekly or as specified by Principal Laundry: bedding neatly folded at the end of the bed for guest bedrooms not in constant use, light dry cleaning, ironing/steaming, wash laundry, iron clothes, minor garment repairs, etc. Polish silver and other metal surfaces Organize bookshelves, counters, cabinets, closets, and all other areas under guidance/request of Principals Maintain house supply inventories, communicating to assistant the need to replenish them Work on special projects as needed, perform seasonal deep cleaning projects Maintain spreadsheets, noting completed tasks once they've accomplished quarterly, annually, etc. Assist with guest's care during their stay Additional Housekeeper responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the family Requirements: Excellent references required from both current and previous employers Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience working in a private home with longevity in past position(s) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Comfortable and willing to work in a home with pets and children Thorough knowledge of deep household cleaning, laundry, organization, fine arts, and antiques Poised and professional in both mindset and manner; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times Ability to travel to other properties for work Valid Driver's License is required, confident driver with a clean driving record Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employer, family members, guests, and properties Legally able to work in the United States Compensation $50-$60/hour Posted: Friday, July 11, 2025 Job # 209
