Maintenance Mechanic Job Description The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues and implement timely repairs. Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, conveyors, saws, CNC machines, and other shop equipment. Assist with equipment installations and modifications. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support operational goals. Essential Skills At least 2 years of preventive maintenance experience within manufacturing. At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting machinery, including table saws. 2+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with hand and power tools, welding, and fabrication is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Benicia, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
