A quiet, peaceful household in downtown Chicago is seeking a reliable and experienced part-time Housekeeper to assist with maintaining a clean and organized home. The role is one day per week, with flexible scheduling and a preferred time of 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Position Details: Location: Chicago, IL (Lakeshore East Neighborhood) Schedule: 1 day per week (flexible day), 5 hours per week guaranteed, 11:00am - 4:00pm Start Date: ASAP Salary Range: $40.00 - $45.00/hour (based on experience and fit) Benefits: 5 paid holidays Responsibilities : General cleaning of a 3,500 sq. ft. residence Change bed linens Some laundry (washing, folding) Maintaining a tidy, peaceful environment Plant Care Pet Care Balcony Care Window Care Errands Ideal Candidate: Calm, trustworthy, highly dependable, matronly, conscientious, good sense of humor Experienced in professional Housekeeping with strong references Self-directed and capable of working independently, takes initiative Fluent in English Must love dogs (one miniature red poodle in the home) Additional Info: No driving required This role is ideal for someone who values consistency, takes pride in their work, and enjoys creating a calm and clean living space for an active family. Required Qualifications: Age: Candidates must be at least 21 years old. Experience: Related work experience is required along with verifiable references. Candidates may have a broad range of experience, but it MUST pertain to the position you are applying for. We require at least 2-3 verifiable references. Letters of recommendation from previous employers are preferred. Driving Record: A driver's license is required for most positions and a motor vehicle investigation is completed prior to placement. Criminal Background: A criminal background investigation is completed on all candidates prior to placement. Residency Requirement: All candidates must furnish proof of US citizenship or eligibility to work as a legal alien. Commitment: Typically, candidates must be willing to commit for at least 1 year with a family. Occasionally, temporary and summer placements are requested.
