Full Time Custodian (Evening Shift) - Rindge Memorial School

The Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District is accepting applications for a full-time, second-shift custodian. The custodian's work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. during the school year and typically from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the summer months. The custodian position typically works at Rindge Memorial School, although it may be district-wide as assigned. This position is eligible for benefits. Pay is based on the Jaffrey-Rindge Support Staff Association wage schedule.The custodian position is responsible for the general overall cleaning and minor maintenance of all assigned areas, as well as maintaining a safe and sanitary facility for students and staff. The District uses environmentally friendly materials to clean its buildings. Custodians are trained on the use and proper handling of these materials. Position requirements include, but are not limited to:* Demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards students, staff, and the general public.* Learn and accomplish tasks with minimum supervision.* Demonstrate the initiative to do routine cleaning and minor repairs with fine attention to detail..* Dress appropriately.* Able to be flexible and address unexpected custodial requests at a moment's notice.* Ability to send/receive emails.* Ability to receive/complete/enter work orders, and check the calendar via Master Library.

Job Requirements
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 60 lbs.; some climbing and balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 5% sitting, 70% walking, and 25% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and in a generally hazard-free environment.* Experience required* High School/Trade School degree preferred* Citizenship, residency or work Visa in the United States required
