Kitchen Assistant - Frontier Elementary School

Basic Function:

The primary duties of the cashier/kitchen assistant are to help with meal preparation, clean and sanitize dishes and kitchen/cafeteria areas.

Duties:

• Prepare, mix, assemble, portion, serve and store food as directed.
• Follow standards of sanitation in preparing, portioning and storing food
• Wash and sanitize all dishes in a commercial dish washer.
• Clean and sanitize work area.
• Clean and sanitize dish room.
• Take out dish room trash.
• Sweep and mop dish room daily.
• Assist putting food and supply deliveries in their designated areas. Make sure cartons are dated and rotated using FIFO (first in first out) method.
• Assist sweeping and moping kitchen.
• Assist sanitizing and wiping down cafeteria tables and seats.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
