Do you thrive under pressure, love learning, and take pride in making peoples day with a great cup of coffee? Were looking for a part-time barista (or barista-in-the-making) to join our team at Snowbound Espresso, a unique coffee stand serving high-end Italian espresso drinks with beautiful latte artall nestled in the Wrightwood Mountains near Mountain High!
About the Job:
Were known for offering coffee that surprises peoplein the best way. Our customers expect high quality, and we love exceeding those expectations. This role is ideal for someone who can keep their cool in fast-paced environments, loves to learn, and is excited to grow their skills.
What Were Looking For:
Can stay calm and focused under pressure (think: long morning lines)
Great customer service: this is a small town and we have a lot of regulars who will remember your name and tip very well if you make them feel welcome. We are on the slower side in the summer with mostly local regulars but will get very busy as the ski season ramps up and you'll have people from all over the world coming in!
Strong at multi-tasking you can pull shots, steam milk, and keep the vibe up, all at once
Has some barista experience not necessarily a pro, but youve used an espresso machine before (even if it's just one at home) and have a general idea of what the difference is between the most commonly offered drinks (latte vs flat white vs cortado, etc)
Genuinely interested in coffee and wants to learn how to make it exceptionally well with instagramable latte art and perfectly dialed in shots.
Reliable, takes initiative, and puts care into their work.
Position Details:
Part-time: ~1520 hours/week in the summer with potential for more during the busy winter season
Starting pay is minimum wage + tips, though this can be negotiable for a very experienced candidate. Plus regular raises for strong performance
Location: Wrightwood, CA
Supportive, fun, and fast-paced work environment
Training and growth opportunities well teach you everything from pulling the perfect shot to pouring clean latte art (if youre not already there)
