Dietary Service Porter (Full-Time)

Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus is seeking a reliable and motivated Dietary Porter to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. In this vital support role, you will assist in the safe and efficient transport of food, supplies, and equipment throughout the hospital, helping to ensure patients, staff, and visitors receive timely and high-quality meal service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport meal carts to and from patient care areas according to meal service schedules

• Deliver and retrieve food trays, nourishments, and supplies as needed

• Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of carts, elevators, and work areas

• Assist in dish room operations, including washing dishes, trays, and utensils

• Remove trash and food waste from kitchen and dining areas in accordance with safety standards

• Help with basic food prep or stock rotation as directed by supervisory staff

• Follow infection control and food safety guidelines at all times

• Provide courteous and respectful service to patients, staff, and visitors

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a healthcare food service or hospitality environment a plus

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks including pushing carts, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Strong communication and customer service skills
