About the Role:

As a Cook at Luray RV Resort & Campground, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and cook a variety of meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with the F&B Manager to prepare food in a timely manner while adhering to health and safety regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, your contributions will enhance the overall guest experience and satisfaction at our resort.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience as a Cook or in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in menu planning and food presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
• Collaborate with F&B Manager to ensure efficient food production and service.

Skills:

The required skills of food preparation and production are essential for executing daily meal services, ensuring that each dish meets our quality standards. Manual dexterity is crucial for handling kitchen tools and equipment safely and efficiently. The ability to read and speak English is necessary for understanding recipes and communicating with team members. Standing for extended periods is a key aspect of the role, as you will be actively engaged in cooking and food preparation throughout your shift. Preferred skills, such as experience as a Head Chef, will enhance your ability to lead kitchen operations and mentor junior staff.
