Bardea Restaurant Group , a James Beardnominated hospitality group in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our growing team. This position supports our bread and pastry programs across multiple concepts, including the award-winning Bardea Food & Drink and Bardea Steak .

Ideal candidates are:

  • Experienced in artisan bread, laminated doughs, and plated desserts

  • Passionate about quality, seasonality, and technique

  • Organized, efficient, and early to rise

  • Collaborative and eager to grow in a high-level culinary environment

Responsibilities include:

  • Mixing, shaping, and baking breads and pastries

  • Monitoring fermentation and proofing processes

  • Preparing mise en place for daily service and production

  • Supporting pastry plating for lunch and dinner service (as needed)

  • Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards

Requirements:

  • 13 years of baking or pastry experience in a professional kitchen

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

  • Flexible schedule with early morning availability

  • Culinary or pastry degree a plus, but not required
