A Day in the Life:

This position is located in the Bunge North America soybean processing plant in Decatur, IN. The Labor Pool position is responsible for performing utility work in the Crush Department, providing assistance to the plant in preparation for and during the harvest season, and are used to fill future full-time vacancies throughout the plant. Candidates must actively participate in Bunges Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, permanent position with a variety of benefits including health and wellness plans, retirement contribution and paid vacation/holidays. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and 2nd/3rd shifts.

Starting pay is $28.57

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Clean silos and bowls in preparation for harvest
  • Provide relief for regular employees
  • Operate bean dump scales
  • Operate conveyors to direct beans to proper silo
  • Process paperwork per department procedures
  • Must have a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the sites food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible to adhere to the Food Safety Culture to provide safe product to consumers
  • Report any concerns with safe food practices
  • Perform cleaning within the department as directed
  • Work safely and assist coworkers as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures
  • Follows Good Manufacturing Practices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED preferred
  • Ability to work safely and follow policies and procedures
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Willing to work overtime and flexible hours
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work 2nd / 3rd shift
  • Good attendance
