Janitor, Facilities - Garden of the Gods

**Work Schedule:** Monday to Friday 10 am to 6:30 pm

**Please Note:** This position will work cleaning in our Garden of the Gods location at 1460 Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, CO 80907

**JOB SUMMARY:**

The Janitor, Facilities will perform specific assigned janitorial duties at our numerous retail stores while working to ensure Goodwill standards are met or exceeded.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

+ Sweep and mop floors.

+ Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.

+ Clean and disinfect.

+ Vacuuming/Steam-clean carpets.

+ Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.

+ Mix various cleaning agents.

+ Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

+ Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.

+ Apply wax to coat floors and buff.

+ Apply sealant to floors.

+ Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.

+ May move heavy items such as furniture.

+ Identify and report possible repairs.

+ Shovel snow from sidewalks and sprinkle salt on surface.

+ Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.

+ Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours.

+ Help provide a safe working environment for you, customers, and fellow employees.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Education:

+ A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

+ One (1) year custodial experience is required.
