Community Charter School of Cambridge (CCSC) is a charter public school that serves students in grades 6-12. CCSC seeks a solutions-oriented individual that can thrive in an environment where working collaboratively with several different teams in addition to directly supporting students and families is commonplace in a typical workday. This is a 12-month position with paid time off during all school-year vacations. In addition, the Front Desk Coordinator will be required to fulfill other regular duties and commitments required of CCSC staff.

Job Responsibilities: The Front Desk Coordinators responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
  • Greet students and community members, checking in visitors and informing appropriate school personnel
  • Answer a multi line telephone and transfer calls to relevant personnel, taking messages as necessary
  • Check and track daily attendance and speak to families with attendance questions and concerns
  • Monitor internal surveillance cameras, elevate concerns as necessary to administrators, and operate door systems
  • Collect various payments and forms
  • Handle schools mailing needs
  • Assist various school administrators with clerical tasks, as assigned, including the management of testing materials, graduation preparation, and translation projects
  • Work with a diverse student body from Cambridge, Boston, and surrounding cities
  • Promote a school-wide culture of respect using the principles of restorative justice
  • Participate in myriad forms of professional development as scheduled for all staff
Qualifications:
  • General computer competence and skills required, including proficiency in Gmail, Google Docs and SheetsExcellent communication skills
  • Fluency in a language other than English (preferred)
  • Capacity to learn how to operate PowerSchool and other school-specific data systems
  • Experience working in a school environment and/or with youth directly is preferred
  • Ability to collaborate closely with colleagues, work independently, and juggle daily tasks with projects that have short- and long-term deadlines
Compensation:
$26,000-$30,000, depending on experience and expertise Hours:
8 AM - 1 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays. 8 AM - 11 AM on Wednesdays. How to Apply:
