Server with Mashgiach Certification
Summary and Job Objectives
Ability to execute both job responsibilities; Supervision of Kashrut status of The Milky Way and/or Server responsibilities. Oversee the overall Kosher process of the restaurant. Knowledge of Kosher food. Knowledge of all menu and beverage items. Personable and friendly. Organized, efficient and team oriented. Work safely and comply with safety standards. Must be committed to our mission and culture: We are committed to making guests feel at home by serving great food and excellent service, in a warm and welcoming environment. This is a nonexempt job. You will report to the General Manager. This is up to 29 hours a week with no overtime unless approved by management beforehand.
Server Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Answer phone, take reservations and take-out orders, place orders into POS system, help package to-go and delivery orders
Greet and seat guests- participate in guest interactions
Communicate specials to guests
Food & Beverage Order
Expedite and run food/drinks
Responsible for the guest experience from start to finish
Ensure guest satisfaction
Bus tables
Complete daily cleaning assignments
Maintain a clean work area and overall cleanliness of the restaurant
Communicate problems to General Manager and/or Kitchen Manager
Mashgiach Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee kashrut guidelines- follow all guidelines as per RCC Certification Training.
Open and/or close restaurant- on site to open and allow employee access per schedule.
Mashgiachs are not permitted to leave the premises without prior approval from the G.M. during their scheduled shift
Turn on/off stove and ovens- work with management to allow for time for final orders to be produced
prior to shutting down kitchen equipment
Check in all food/beverage upon delivery for certification with proper hechshers
Make sure all fish has some skin upon delivery
Make sure fruits and vegetables are free of insects
Prep any food/beverage items as necessary per instruction from management
Ensure all food is cooked with approved kosher products
Ensure employees and guests do not bring food and beverages into the restaurant
Oversee handwashing sink including cleanliness and sanitation, individual bread portions and social distancing
Communication sets a positive tone in the restaurant-Mashgiachs should communicate with the
General Manager any concerns regarding compliance issues immediately
Physical Requirements
Carry cocktail trays and large oval trays frequently
Carry boxes and re-stock deliveries occasionally
Lift up to 10 pounds frequently
Bend down to lift items frequently
Can work up to 8 hours on feet occasionally
Experience
Two years of previous food & beverage experience preferred.
Wage
Server $18.78 /Hour + Tips
Server and Mashgiach $25.00/Hour + Tips
Mashgiach $25.00/ Hour
