Overnight Building Porter

Position Overview:

The Residential Building Porter plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of a residential property.

This position supports the daily upkeep of common areas and ensures residents and guests experience a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Remove garbage from floors, collect and sort recycling materials, sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean building lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, laundry rooms, and other common areas.

Remove trash and recycling from designated collection points and prepare for pickup.

Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas such as sidewalks, driveways, courtyards, and entrances.

Support building superintendent and other staff as needed.

Requirements:

Previous experience in residential or commercial janitorial work preferred.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout shift.

Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently.

Good communication skills and a courteous, professional demeanor.

Availability to work overnight, weekends, or holidays as required.

May lead to full time position.
