Cage Cashier

SUMMARY

Under the immediate supervision of the Casino Cage Shift Lead, the Casino Cashier is responsible for a window bank containing various denominations of currency and coins. Complete transactions for customers and internal operations. Other job related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Processes, verifies, countersigns hand paid jackpots.
• Processes, verifies, countersigns blackjack fills/credits.
• Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Properly handle the cashing of personal checks, payroll checks, and traveler's checks.
• Properly assist customers redeeming vouchers, black jack chips, coupons, etc.
• Prepare all cage currency, coins, and documentation for end-of shift inventory.
• Will perform other position requirements as assigned by the Cage Lead, Cage Manager, or Floor Manager.
• Must understand and comply with departmental internal control regulations.
• Casino operation is 24/7, must be able to work any and all shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

• All applicants must be 18 years of age.
• Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment on-going random drug testing.
• Must be certifiable through the Arizona Department of Gaming / Tribal Gaming Office.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Must have excellent math and organizational skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Associates degree in related field or trade school, professional or technical certification, specialized training preferred
• 1-year equivalent to at least CS-2, 6-months specialized work experience, 2-years work experience in related field or 2-years general or supervisory work experience
• Must have at least 1 year cash handling experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Applicants must be of good physical health as this job requires to stand and lifting of heavy objects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

In the Entertainment industry one may be subject to a work environment containing excessive noise, smoke, and stress.
