JOB SUMMARY
The Barback is responsible for providing the patrons with excellent service in a timely manner and to properly stock the bar as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with maintenance of all bar equipment.
- Assists with the setup and breakdown of bar side work and related projects.
- Able to perform under stressful, demanding situations in perhaps small quarters of four feet or less, with four-foot access and contact with Team Members and guests.
- Ensures and maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the bar and storage areas.
- Work with communication devices such as telephones, two-way radio, and bulletin boards.
- Interacts and speaks with guests to maintain great guest relations and provide opportunities for loyalty to occur.
- Assists the Center Bar Manager with proper inventory controls, stocking, proper rotation of product, checking use through code dates on beer and dairy products and date labeling of fresh cut fruits.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of facility storage.
- Maintains an awareness of applicable laws and operates within those guidelines.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Maintains County Health District, Gaming, and Alcohol Awareness Certification.
- Multi-task ability and able to complete all tasks with minimal supervision and show a sense of urgency no matter what the business volume.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and body language.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Some prior bar back experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.
- Ability to obtain a valid TIPS Certification
