Responsibilities:

+ Cleans and sanitizes patients' rooms and bathrooms daily.

+ Disposes of trash and replenishes supplies according to proper procedures.

+ Moves furniture and other fixtures to dust and mop floor, resets furniture to present an attractive environment for patients and visitors.

+ Washes walls behind sinks and commodes.

+ Cleans and disinfects isolation rooms adhering to proper policy and procedures.

+ Cleans and disinfects ancillary areas. (Utility and linen rooms, nurse's stations, lounges, etc.).

+ Cleans and disinfects water fountains, sinks in hallways, telephones, and chair rails.

+ Vacuums carpets and damp dusts furniture weekly in office areas.

+ Empties trash and uses hand sweeper on carpets daily.

+ Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.

Schedule: Rotating days (including weekends and holidays), Sunday-Saturday, 3pm - 11pm. This opportunity will mainly clean in the discharge beds. May be pulled to other areas/shifts/days at the needs of the Hospital.
