Building Maintenance Technician - Night Shift Job Description Provide routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for hospital facilities and equipment. Utilize the computerized maintenance management system to identify and address issues in mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and control systems. Offer technical support and guidance to facility staff and participate in safety programs and training opportunities. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and specialized repairs on hospital buildings and equipment. Utilize the computerized maintenance management system for maintenance tasks. Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical systems including pumps, belt drivers, and piping. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures. Install, test, maintain, and diagnose electrical wiring, equipment, and appliances. Troubleshoot and maintain control systems such as sensors and motors. Provide technical support and guidance to facility staff. Participate in safety programs, educational opportunities, and training. Essential Skills Proficiency in computerized maintenance systems. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and utility systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams. The capability to work effectively both independently and in teams. Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in facility maintenance and building maintenance. Skills in HVAC systems, carpentry, and preventive maintenance. Work Environment Work inside a hospital setting, primarily during night shifts from Saturday (10 pm - 6 am) and Monday to Friday. Expect to work 36 hours but be compensated for 40 hours.
