C&W Services 3.2 General Maintenance/Receptionist Sign in to apply Braintree, MA Sign in to apply Shift/Schedule: Mon-Fri (11:00AM-7:30PM) Job Summary The General Maintenance/Receptionist is a dual-function role that provides both administrative front desk support and general facilities maintenance. ing to the Site Services Manager, this position offers a unique balance of customer service and hands-on facility upkeep. In the first half of the day, the Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callersanswering phones, greeting guests, handling mail, coordinating safety and badging processes, and performing general clerical duties. A polished, professional demeanor and a positive attitude are essential. The second half of the day involves performing general maintenance duties throughout the facility, including painting, patching, inspections, floor work, and light cleaning. The successful candidate will be flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reception / Administrative Functions Greet and welcome on-site guests; determine nature of business and notify appropriate personnel. Answer and route incoming telephone calls; take messages or redirect to voicemail when needed. Manage conference room scheduling and reservations. Distribute incoming mail and packages; prepare outgoing mail as needed. Assist with general clerical tasks including copying, scanning, filing, and data entry. Provide visitors with necessary information, including directions and organizational details. Assist with guest registration, badging, and coordinating safety training. Support administrative and special projects as assigned. Operate standard office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, and scanners. Facility / Maintenance Functions Perform general maintenance tasks such as patching, painting, and minor repairs. Conduct routine facility and Fire Life Safety (FLS) inspections. Support general floor work and light cleaning as needed. Coordinate with vendors and contractors providing on-site services. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall function of the facility. Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or vocational training a plus. Prior experience in a reception, administrative, or general maintenance role preferred. Knowledge of office procedures, phone etiquette, filing systems, and basic facilities maintenance. Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with other software systems preferred. Experience operating standard office equipment. Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of staff, management, and visitors. Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor. Willingness to occasionally work overtime or flex hours when necessary. Commitment to safety and compliance with all applicable regulations and procedures.
