Part-Time Custodian (Night Shift)

(12~month position)

REPORTS TO: Chief Custodian

MISSION: At the Academy of Dover (Academy), each child is a valued and unique individual. The educational process is student-centered and achieved by partnerships involving students, parents/guardians, and staff where each child embraces the love, joy, and value of the education.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must have a high school diploma or GED.

2. Minimum of 2 years experience in the custodial field.

3. Lift up to 50 pounds.

4. Must demonstrate a firm knowledge of guidelines and procedures pertaining to the role.

5. Employment with the Academy of Dover is contingent upon successful completion of:

• Criminal Background Check

• Child Protection Registry

• TB Test

• Verification of Credentials and Past Employment

• Adhere to Academy Policies and Procedures

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Clean and sanitize designated areas.

2. Empty trash, sweep, mop and vacuum all offices, classrooms, hallways, and restrooms.

3. Wipe down all windows and blinds.

4. Clean, dust, and wipe down all furniture.

5. Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools.

6. Perform cleaning and related assignments such as removing debris from property grounds.

7. Restock restroom supplies.

8. Assist with the moving of furniture.

9. Collaborate with staff members.

10. Perform other duties as assigned.
