Bar Back

This position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at the resort. Bar Backs are responsible for positive guest interactions while assisting the bartender in serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner.

Bar Back

General Responsibilities

• Prepares the condiments needed to prepare drinks and performs all other preparation tasks.
• Staying updated on current bar choices, including drink specials, beer and wind selections.
• Assist in preparing mixed drinks for service to bar guests and for other servers' tables as the orders are placed.
• Assisting with special events as needed.
• Assist Bartender with all duties as requested, including, but not limited to:
  • Check ID of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or customers seated at the bar
  • Properly store and secure alcohol at the end of each shift
  • Restock bar with service items.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• Previous bartending experience desired.
• Previous restaurant service required
• Excellent oral communication skills required.
• Positive interpersonal skills required.
• Must speak English fluently and be able to write basic English.
• Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Ability to read cocktail recipes out of a recipe book and mix them accordingly.

License/Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Oregon Food Handlers Card
• OLCC Certification
• Valid Oregon Driver's License
