Webster Public Schools is seeking candidates to fill a cafeteria worker role at Webster Middle School. This position is Monday - Friday when school is in session from 9:45 am to 12:45 pm. Total of 15 hours a week. Duties include, but not limited to:Prepares and serves food at instruction of Cafeteria ManagerMaintain a positive, cooperative and productive working relationship with staff, students and teachers through the use of patience, courtesy and tactful communicationServes students courteously and professionally using correct portion sizesFollows health and food safety standards and maintains proper temperature control of foodAssist with receiving ordersClean and sanitize work areas and serving lines at instruction of Cafeteria ManagerParticipate in required professional development and other trainings offeredMaintain required food safety and other certifications as directedFollows food service department dress code including appropriate footwear, jewelry, hair covering and manicurePerforms other work related duties as instructed

QualificationsMust enjoy interacting with students in a food service environmentUnderstanding of National School Lunch Program requirements preferredSchool Nutrition, Culinary and/or Food Service experience preferredWorking knowledge of food preparation methods, food safety and procurementAbility to multi-task and work under pressure This position is vital to the operation of the Food Service Department and therefor punctuality and regular attendance is of high importancePhysically demanding position requiring frequent lifting, carrying, and walking with significant standing required per shiftMust agree to CORI check and fingerprinting (at employees expense) prior to start dateMust agree to complete Serve Safe exam within 9 months of hire dateMust agree to complete required continuing education units over the course of school year, including local travel to conferences, meetings and trainings as necessary
