Schedule: Day Shift
Location: Fishers Hospital
The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all areas of the hospital. This includes patient units, office areas, clinics, treatment/procedural areas, and public spaces. The role involves using various cleaning supplies and equipment, removing refuse and soiled linens, and ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities:Clean and sanitize occupied and unoccupied spaces using appropriate supplies and equipment
Remove trash and soiled linens from designated areas
Perform technical cleaning in specialized areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED
Operate light floor equipment for cleaning patient care areas
Assist in lifting and transporting patients in emergency situations
Wear required protective equipment (gowns, gloves, goggles, closed toe footwear, etc.)
Preferred: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
No prior experience required training will be provided
Ability to interpret and follow cleaning protocols in clinical environments
Physical ability to perform tasks including:
Standing, reaching, squatting, bending, and lifting 35+ lbs up to 80% of the time
Climbing ladders as needed
Must possess a valid Indiana drivers license and proof of insurance
